Idilik is aware of the responsibility we share in minimising the environmental impact of agency business.

Waste Management

We have identified 3 key areas of responsibility to promote effective waste management:
1) Recycling
As well as resolving to buy recycled whenever possible, Idilik has implemented a comprehensive recycling system, which includes the recycling of:
• Paper and cardboard • Glass bottles • CD’s • Aluminium and steel cans • Printer cartridges
2) Reducing
• We do not buy from manufacturers that use excess packaging • We do not use disposable cups or cutlery
• 93% of documents including reports and proposals are produced and sent electronically
• We are all considerate of the use of ink, paper and special print finishes
3) Reusing
• Envelopes and bags are reused with new address labels where possible
• Packaging including carrier bags and boxes are saved to be reused when needed
• CD cases are collected and reused with discs recycled
• Folders and dividers are saved and re-used
• Draft prints and internal documents are re-used as scrap paper

Energy Consumption

We are keen to reduce energy consumption and we’ve implemented the following energy saving measures:
• Always use long-life light bulbs
• All computers and monitors are switched off when not in use.
• All electronic equipment including printers, photocopiers, lights and kitchen equipment are switched off overnight

Basics

• We only buy Fair-Trade
• We use biodegradable cleaning products produced in an ecological, economic and socially responsible way

Transport

Everyone at Idilik is encouraged to travel by shanks’ pony, bike or public transport, and to car-share for those
with similar routes.
